One of the most meaningful experiences during our trip to Japan was visiting Hiroshima. We had the chance to explore the Peace Memorial Museum, and I can honestly say it is one of the most moving museums I have ever visited. At the same time, it is one of the most beautifully designed, both visually and artistically. Perhaps that is what makes Japan so special—the attention to every detail. The admission fee is just ¥200 (around €1.20 or US$1.40) for adults. The museum takes you through the personal stories of people whose lives were forever changed by one of history's greatest tragedies. It is an experience that leaves a lasting impression, and I know I will never forget that day.

After the museum, we paid our respects at the Peace Memorial Cenotaph

And lastly, we visited the Atomic Bomb Dome—the only structure left standing near the hypocenter as a reminder of the devastation and, above all, the importance of peace.
